How did you land in Portland? Moved to Portland to attend Portland State University. Fell in love with the city. Never left.
What is the last book you read? Gamification by Design.
Name your favorite tattoo. I went to get a tattoo on my chest from James Kern at No Hope No Fear and came out a year later having it cover my chest, half my arm and half my back. It’s basically a mural.
What was the last thing you ate at a food cart? 50 Licks ice cream
Oregonian, Willamette Week, or Mercury? Mercury.
What is your favorite bridge and why? When I first moved to Portland it was the Hawthorne. I’d travel over it every day and I loved it. These days I stare out my office window at the Fremont. I’ve seen some amazing sunrises and sunsets with that bridge in it. Being an entrepreneur, sometimes I’ve seen both those things over the Fremont in the same day.
Stumptown Coffee or _________? Bust. I almost can’t drink anything but Stumptown these days.
Coast or Mountains? Coast. I can’t live anywhere without an ocean.
Only in Portland moment? First time I saw clown bike jousting and fire hula hoop dancing on Alberta Street.
A favorite local business? Ruby Receptionists. Fantastic service and a brilliant model. Favorite Restaurant: Toro Bravo
Are you a car person or a bike person? I hop on my bike when I can. But shuttling kids around and getting to multiple meetings on time is easier in a car.
If you could change one thing about Portland, what would it be? I could use a bit more sun. Not a lot, but some.
