How do you pay the rent and what is your slash? My husband and I both work for a software company downtown where I am a training coordinator and he is a lab admin. I also teach at Vega Dance+Lab.
What do you create? I create fun choreography and sweaty, strong bodies. At home, I also create beautiful fish habitats in my aquariums.
How did you land in Portland? It was -90 degrees one winter in NoDak. I opened a map, closed my eyes, and pointed somewhere west. Portland for the win.
What is the last book you read? Replay by Ken Grimwood. Currently reading American Gods by Neil Gaiman. My favorite book is Imajica by Clive Barker
Name your favorite tattoo. My fave is my shoulder tattoo of my pet Australian Arowana, who swam in my life for 9 years.
What was the last thing you ate at a food cart? salad rolls that I carried in to Wines on Broadway.

What is your favorite bridge and why? Hawthorne. My work is on one side, the dance studio on the other and the 14 bus takes me back and forth to both, downtown, and home afterward. Plus, I can jog across it and run the Esplanade loop.
Stumptown Coffee or _________? I love to drink coffee at Common Grounds, where they make the best mochas in town!
Coast or Mountains? I do love the coast, but typically we’ll keep going east through the gorge to the high desert.
Only in Portland moment? My mom was visiting and we were having a beer on Hawthorne when someone in a Chewbacca suit came running down the sidewalk, looking over his shoulder and hid behind a phone pole and then ran away. We stayed there for another half hour and never saw his pursuer.
A favorite local business? In addition to the places mentioned above, I am treated very well at my local fish store, the Tropical Hut. I also love to hang out with Carrie and Casey at Nick’s Coney Island on Hawthorne.
Are you a car person or a bike person? I have a car that I use a couple times a month and a bike I use a couple times a year, but mostly I ride the bus and walk. You can also find us bopping around town on our motorcycle.
If you could change one thing about Portland, what would it be? I wish people would obey the leash law. (and thank you to those who do)
