How do you pay the rent and what is your slash? I do business consulting & coaching. My biz consulting (project management) pays the bills, but my KISSpdx - Keep It Sustainable Sister annual event fuels my soul! KISSpdx is how I’m taking action and changing the world.
What do you create? I create connections for other amazing business women through the KISSpdx Sisterhood! All of the women are so amazing and I’m always seeing new ways in which women can collaborate. I also create stories. I’m known for telling crazy stories of my childhood that usually end with people rolling on the floor with laughter. I tend to bedazzle or embellish a bit.
How did you land in Portland? I quite literally landed in Portland in an old Toyota Corolla. My decision to land here was derived from my desire to be part of a more diverse community with creative energy and passion.
What is the last book you read? I’m currently re-reading The First 30 Days by Ariane de Bnvoisin and before that was Bunk House Logic by Ben Stein (read it before you judge it…seriously good!).
Name your favorite tattoo. I’m dreaming of getting a skull tattoo with a girly bow and red lips. My secret fantasy tattoo is having Kat Von D create an image of me as Rosie the Riveter wearing a short skirt, red heels and a red bow.
What was the last thing you ate at a food cart? Burrito Bowl and it was DELICIOUS!
Oregonian, Willamette Week, or Mercury? I’m much more likely to read any magazine and catch up on my news online. If I had to pick one…Willamette Week.
What is your favorite bridge and why? I love driving over the Fremont Bridge towards downtown Portland at night. Best view of downtown Portland for sure! I also LOVE the Broadway Bridge because it takes me to Por Que No!
Stumptown Coffee or _________? I’m sorry…is there an alternative option? Barista is my favorite spot to grab Stumptown, but I also frequent Café Umbria for a delicious Café au lait (I prefer to spell Café Ole! Because it’s more fun!)
Coast or Mountains? Coast in the Summer, but Mountains whenever! I was born right around Christmas so I have a soft spot for snuggly clothes and warm fireplaces. Some of my favorite memories as a kid were on Mount Hood with my Dad for a Christmas Eve sleigh ride.
Only in Portland moment? My mom was visiting from San Diego and while we were stopped at a light downtown a group of kids wearing all black, HUGE boots, tons of make-up, piercings and tattoos galore walked by. I didn’t really think anything of it, but my mom slowly says in a very serious tone, Do you think all those holes in their head hurt? I almost peed my pants.
Are you a car person or a bike person? Car, I fall over on bikes. Really, it’s true.
If you could change one thing about Portland, what would it be? That all the local professional Portland women could come to KISSpdx!
And finally, where can we find you on the web?
