How do you pay the rent and what is your slash? I live rent free on the campus of a private school, which my wife teaches at. I rent out our home.

What do you create? I raise my children, write, music, things.

How did you land in Portland   A buddy and Subaru 11 years ago. We have both been here ever since.

What is the last book you read? The Lorax

Name your favorite tattoo. The ones on my wife.

What was the last thing you ate at a food cart? French fries.

Oregonian, Willamette Week, or Mercury? Whichever is sitting around while I wait.

What is your favorite bridge and why? Marquam at night for the view, The St.Johns during the day, because, well, have you seen that thing?

Stumptown Coffee or  _______? Still can’t quite believe the coffee scene here! I would have to say Stumptown, but I am not too picky. (I prefer Gin)

Coast or Mountains? Coast. We don’t have that in Vermont. (We also don’t have Hood, I know, but if I have to choose…

Only in Portland moment? Raising children that love sushi and pancakes (not in the same sitting, Thank God.)

A favorite local business? Canoe, Sushi Takahashi 2, Palace, will support any and all small business I can.

Are you a car person or a bike person? Eurovan person. Would like to say we biked more, but we are more in love with road adventures.

If you could change one thing about Portland, what would it be? We need some smart industry to set up shop. It would mean jobs, and taxes we could use to fix the education system
